Francis D. Flaherty, Jr., 71

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mr. Francis D. Flaherty, Jr., 71, of Adams, died on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born in North Adams on January 16, 1955, a son of the late Francis and Phyllis (Sutton) Flaherty. He attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Berkshire Community College with a degree in Human Services.

Mr. Flaherty last worked as a chauffeur for Norm’s Limousine Service in North Adams. Prior he had worked as a truck driver for Whitewolf Trucking and as a house manager for the former Meridian Associates, Pittsfield.

He was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams. He enjoyed bowling and road trips. He was a longtime member and advocate for Dads Against Drunk Driving and ran the former Bridges Program for at risk youth in North Adams.

He is survived by his daughter Amoreena Gazaille and her husband Aaron of Savoy; two granddaughters, Desarai Wesolowski and her husband Alexander of Pittsfield and Bree Gazaille of Attleboro; two great grandchildren, Oliver and Ellis Wesolowski; his grand dog, Winston; three sisters, Donna Dupras of Adams, Patricia Flaherty of Deland, FL and Kathleen Singer of Sanford, NC; two nephews, Kurt Singer and his wife Michelle and Travis Vanderwoude; a niece Katie Van and her husband Ryan; his very close friend Barbara Hernandez; and by several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be held on Monday, April 27th at 11:00 A.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.

Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.

Calling hours are Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
