Richard A. Dodge, Sr., 83

CHESHIRE, Mass. —  

Mr. Richard A. Dodge, Sr., 83, of Cheshire, died on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Springside Nursing Home in Pittsfield.

He was born in Adams on September 24, 1942, a son of the late Arthur F. Dodge, Jr., and Florence H. (Larivie) Bissaillon. He attended schools in Adams.

Mr. Dodge worked for many years at the former Big Y Supermarket until retiring as the dairy and frozen food manager. Earlier he had worked for the former Adams Supermarket. He enjoyed playing billiards and had been a longtime member of the Northern Berkshire Pool League in North Adams. He also enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles.

His wife, the former Patricia A. Eichorn, whom he married on May 27, 1966, died on September 21, 2000.

He is survived by his son Richard A. Dodge, Jr and his wife Kimberley of Cheshire; his granddaughter, Keiyara Thoresen and her husband Shain of Monroe; three great grandchildren, Sierra, Gunnar and Avery as well as his nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Francis Dodge and by his sister Joan Comeau.

Calling hours are Friday, May 15th from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.

Burial will be private for the family.
