ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Barbara J. (Marley) Cummings, 90, of Adams, a former longtime resident of Florida, MA, died on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

She was born in North Adams on November 9, 1935, daughter of the late Clayton and Eliza (Oliver) Marley. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1953.

She was a longtime member of All Saints Episcopal Church in North Adams. While in Florida she was a member of the Florida Finance Committee. She was also active in the volunteer program at the former Sweetbrook Nursing Home, was a member of the Drury High School Class of 1953 reunion committee and the Red Hat Society. One of her greatest joys was having lunch with her friends.

Her husband, Robert H. Cummings, whom she married on October 20, 1956, died on August 17, 1990.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by her brother William Marley.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 27th at 10:30 A.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.

Burial will follow in Florida Church Cemetery.

A calling hour will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service in the funeral home.
