ADAMS, Mass. —  Ms. Barbara J. Wilk, 76, of Florida, died on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at her residence. She was born in Adams, MA on July 11, 1949, a daughter of the late John and Helen (Mikutowicz) Wilk. She was raised by her parents along with her two siblings, Mary Jane and John. She attended grade school in Adams and went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree at the University of Massachusetts and later earned her master’s degree online with Dowling College.

Barbara enjoyed traveling and eventually settled in south Florida in the 1980’s. She had a career with FedEx for over 30 years and was known for her love of nostalgia and 60’s music. She belonged to the local Catholic Church and moved to Saint Cloud, FL after retiring, to be closer to her only daughter and grandchildren.

Her family and friends will miss her dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Carina Nelson and her husband Lemmie along with two grandchildren, Cameron and Lemmie Junior of Saint Cloud, FL; two siblings, Mary Jane Grunes and her husband Louie of Margate, FL and John Wilk and his wife Holly of Adams, MA, as well as nieces and nephews.

A small memorial will be held at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Adams on Saturday, June 6th at 10:30 AM. The family requests the omission of flowers and suggests memorial donations to be made to St. Stanislaus School, 108 Summer Street Adams, MA 01220.
