Kenneth W. Rysz, 72

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mr. Kenneth W. Rysz, 72, of Adams, died on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at his home.

He was born in Adams on March 14, 1954, son of the late Loretta (Kolodziej) Rysz-Vinette and Walter Rysz. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from the Charles H. McCann Technical High School in 1972.

Mr. Rysz was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the United States Air Force until receiving his honorable discharge as Airman First Class on May 7, 1974 where he received an award for working on the Liquid Fuel Maintenance Systems.

Ken worked for many years for the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation until his retirement.

He was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. He was a former member of the Adams Forrest Wardens and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

He is survived by his brother Gerald Rysz and his wife Teresa of Florida, MA; his sister Lisa Rysz of Adams and by two nephews and a niece.

He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Rysz.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 1st at 1:00 P.M. in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Stanislaus Kostka Preservation Fund, 21 Maple St., Adams, MA 01220.

I was sad to hear of Ken's passing. I graduated with him from McCann's electrical course and we both joined the Air Force together on the buddy system right out of high school. He was a great guy and fun to be around. Rest in peace my friend, my condolences to the Rysz family.

My deepest sympathy to Lisa and Jerry and friends and family. For 64 years many of those years as one of his closest friends. Although I haven’t seen home for several years I think of him often. I am sorry to hear of Kenny's passing. He was a good friend of my brother Bruce and was frequently at our house in Adams as wwe were growing up. His brother Ron was in my class in elementary school. Condolences to the Rysz family!
