Denise Marie Desanty, 73

SAVOY, Mass. — Denise Marie Desanty of Lake Waccamaw, N.C. Passed on Thursday, October 30, 2025. She was born on April 7, 1952, to the late Julean Szpila and Lucille Gelineau.

She is survived by her husband John R. Desanty, Sr., of Lake Waccamaw, N.C.; son, Johnny Desanty of Savoy, M.A.; daughter, Jackie Combes and husband Matt of M.O.; brothers, Ron Szpila and wife Annette of M.A., Steven Szpila of M.A.; sisters, Jeanne Millette and husband Richard of F.L., Cynthia Daunais/Lawrence of M.A.; grandchildren, Jesse Desanty, Jacob Kelly.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Her family invites you to join them laying Denise to rest at Bellevue Cemetery on June 6th at 10:00am there will be a pot luck celebration of life at her son’s home in Savoy.

Denise and I graduated as members of the AMHS class of 1970. The Adams recreation department's ball fields were ours for the summer. Denise was a wonderful pitcher and hitter for the Adams girls' teams. I enjoyed playing with her in high school. Those summers were great fun and will never be forgotten.

A beautiful gentle soul has spread her wings and taken flight.. Denise spread her love, compassion, and kindness with every living being she met. I will always remember her gentle blue eyes, warm smile and youthful laugh. She was so caring and patient. I know Denise was deeply loved by many, especially her close family. I am so sorry for their loss. I hope that they continue to feel embraced by the warmth and love of Denise.
