Joseph W. Allard, 61

ADAMS, Mass. —
Joseph W. Allard, 61, of Adams, MA, passed away peacefully at home on June 8, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis and MDS.
Born on May 1, 1965, in North Adams, he was the son of Bernard N. Allard and Elizabeth M. (Harrison) Allard. He graduated from McCann Technical High School in 1983.On July 27, 1985, he married his high school sweetheart, Diane (Mullett) Allard, whom he met at the roller rink in Williamstown. Together, they shared more than 40 wonderful years of marriage and raised two daughters. His family was always his greatest pride and joy. In addition to being a loving and devoted husband and father, he was a skilled electrician and dedicated educator. He taught electrical wiring at Westfield Vocational Technical High School and instructed local electrical code classes. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Naval Seabees and the US Air Force Reserves. His commitment to public service continued through his involvement with the Alert Hose Co., a member of the Adams-Cheshire Regional School Committee, a member of the Adams Zoning Board, and a member of McCann School Committee. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling to Hawaii, scuba diving, and coaching softball for Adams’ Lassie League. He is survived by his wife, Diane; his daughters, Jacquelyn Allard and Katelyn Allard (Caleb Summar) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; his brother, Bernard Allard Jr.; his sister, Deborah Levesque; his brother-in-law, Philip Rondeau; his aunt, Barbara Harrison; five nephews and one niece; several great-nephews and great-nieces; and many cousins and cherished friends. His family finds comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with his parents; his brother, Wayne Allard Sr.; his sister, Susan Rondeau; his best friend, Bill Vidal; and his two beloved huskies, Diamond and Duncan. Visitation will be held at PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 12, 2026 beginning at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery. The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jacquelyn Garcia and her team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and HospiceCare in The Berkshires for their compassionate care and support.
