Linda Lee Dilego, 72

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —

Linda Lee DiLego, 72, of Cheshire, MA, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Berkshire Medical Center.

Born in North Adams on April 23, 1954, she was the daughter of the late John Joseph DiLego Jr. and Florence Ann (Douglas) DiLego. Linda attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School with the Class of 1972.

Linda worked hard her entire life. For many years, she was self-employed as the owner and operator of her own residential cleaning business, where she was known for her reliability, dedication, and the personal care she brought to every home she entered. She also spent many years in the hospitality industry, working at the front desk of the Holiday Inn and as a waitress. No matter the job, Linda gave it her all and took pride in doing things well. She also worked for an extended period at Side-by-Side Assisted Living in Pittsfield, where her compassion and steady presence made a difference in the lives of residents and coworkers alike.

Linda was full of life and energy — the kind of person who could run circles around anyone. She was kind, funny, stubborn, generous, outspoken when she needed to be, and quietly strong when it mattered most. She loved gardening and took pride in nurturing whatever she planted. She also loved the ocean, and one of the happiest times of her life was the summer she spent living on the Cape. Dogs held a special place in her heart, and she always had room in her life for the animals she loved.

Family was the most important thing in Linda’s world. She adored her son, Michael, and her granddaughter, Aaliyah, who were the center of her heart and her greatest joy. She spent every holiday surrounded by family, always helping prepare for gatherings and making sure everyone felt welcome. Though she had many friends, her sisters were her closest companions — her lifelong best friends.

She is survived by her son, Michael DiLego of Cheshire; her beloved granddaughter, Aaliyah; her brothers, John J. DiLego III of North Adams and Edward DiLego of Florida; her sisters, Theresa Roy, Patricia Roberts, and JoAnn Cowlin; sisters-in-law, Linda DiLego and Bobbie DiLego; and brother-in-law, Peter Cowlin. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, including Shane Roberts, Tyler Roberts, Jake DiLego, Jesse DiLego, Stacy Harkerode, Lindsay DiLego, and Cheyanne Lefave, all of whom she loved deeply. Linda was predeceased by her brothers-in law, Michael Roberts and Michael Roy.

Life will not be the same without her. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Per Linda’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes – Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA, is entrusted with arrangements. To add to the book of memories, please visit www.FlynnDagnoliFuneralHomes.com.

I was sorry to read about Linda's passing. I worked with her at the Holiday Inn. She was like a human Duracell battery. Always moving. When she laughed you knew it was her before you turned around. She also could have a bit of a temper (we all can) when she felt she was wronged but those times were few and far between. Rest in peace Linda.
