Richard D. Lancto, 67

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Richard Donald Lancto, 67 Pittsfield MA died Weds. July 8 2026 due to a long battle having Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in Pittsfield MA on October 16,1958 son of Jeanette (McDougal) Lancto and the late Donald R Lancto. He was a graduate of the Class of 1976 of Taconic High School.
Survivors include his wife Terry (Ziter) Lancto, his mother Jeanette Lancto. He was a devoted father to his daughter Olivia M Lancto of Hudson FL, and two step sons David J Glass (Susie) of Springfield, MA and Derek J Glass of Manhattan NY. His brother David W Lancto (Karen), sisters Karen Lancto and Sandy Tynan both of Pittsfield. His grandchildren Maximus, Savannah and Jacob Glass. Many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a niece Ryanne Lancto.
Rick worked at Modern Mold & Tool as a tool maker for 39 years. He was a member of the Lenox Sportsmen's Club and the president of the Tri-State Archery Association and was a member of the former Dalton Rod & Gun Club.
Rick’s passion was hunting. Preferably traditional bow hunting. Everyone was on edge until he harvested his first deer. He never missed a day from the beginning of Archery to the end of Black Powder. No matter the weather. Ricky never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need especially his family (his daughter and sisters). He was a Jack of all trades.
Low and behold if we didn't mention he was a Loyal Buffalo Bills fan. Go Bills.
Ricks passion of love was a proud and dedicated father and husband to his daughter and wife. He loved his family with all his heart.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Richard Lancto will be held Friday July 17, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Flynn & Dagnoli Bencivenga Funeral Home 5 Elm Street Pittsfield MA with a service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St Joseph Cemetery. Memorial donation may be made to the Phelps Cancer Center 165 Tor Court Pittsfield MA 01201.
