Veronica Sprague, 95

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Veronica Rose (Boschetti) Sprague, 95, of North Adams, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Williamstown Commons.

Born in North Adams on July 2, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Victor Boschetti Sr. and Laura (Descoteau) Boschetti. She attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School with the Class of 1949. She took great pride in her roots and spent many of her following years helping to organize their class reunions.

After graduating, Veronica dedicated most of her life to caring for her family as a devoted homemaker, while also working at Sprague Electric until her retirement in 1985. She stayed vibrant and active throughout her life, enjoying bowling, playing golf, and taking daily walks with her husband of nearly 65 years, Phil, who passed away in 2020. The two were affectionately known around town as the "cute couple," as they were always seen walking hand in hand wherever they went.

She is survived by her two sons, Mark Sprague of North Adams, and Daniel Sprague and his wife, Pat, of New Port Richey, Florida. She also leaves behind her beloved granddaughter, Christa of North Adams, as well as several cherished nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Veronica was predeceased by her two brothers, Carl Boschetti, who passed away in 2010, and Victor "Mickey" Boschetti Jr., who passed away in 2023.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Audrey, Joanne, and the exceptional nurses and aides at Williamstown Commons (Unit 3) for taking care of Veronica in a way that was not only professional, but deeply personal and friendly way.

Very sorry to hear of Vern's passing. She and my mother Alice (Jeanton) Jarisch took great pride and pleasure in organizing many a reunion for the Drury Class of '49, reunions I know were enjoyed by so many class members. She and Phil were indeed the "cute couple" seen often on their walks throughout North Adams. My sympathies to the family.
