I always called her Mother. We were family to each other. I enjoyed doing her hair. I know she wanted me there. Every little gift made her smile. We talked and laughed for awhile. Glasses under her eyes to see. She was always looking over at me. I’m sad we couldn’t say goodbye. All I can do is miss you and cry. As long as she knows I loved her. I always called her Mother.
