NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Robert Arthur Giroux, 55, of North Adams, died on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Berkshire Medical Center.

Robert was born in North Adams on July 7, 1971, the son of Kathleen Cheryl (Martin) Giroux and the late Stephen Brooks Giroux. He attended schools in North Adams and graduated from McCann Technical High School.

Robert was a decorated veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Gulf War, and later served in the United States Marine Corps.

He was most recently employed as an assistant store manager at Ocean State Job Lot. He had also worked as an assistant manager at O’Reilly Auto Parts.

Robert enjoyed 3D printing, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and reading. He was also an avid San Francisco 49ers football fan.

Robert leaves behind his mother, Kathleen Cheryl (Martin) Giroux of North Adams; his sister, Cheryl Phillips and her husband, Billie, of Florida; his niece and nephew, Brittany Phillips and Michael Phillips his wife, Ana, and their children Estrella and Sofia; his uncles, Leonard Giroux and his wife, Angie of North Adams; Allen Martin and his wife, Jackie of Arizona. He also leaves his forever friend and fellow gamer, Michael LaCasse and life-long friend Sheri Goodell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to the American Cancer Society in his memory.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Robert Giroux will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes – Central Chapel, 74 Marshall Street, North Adams, MA 01247.
