Dorothy Lincoln

Dorothy Lincoln, 74, of 85 Eagle St., St. Joseph's Court, died yesterday at North Adams Commons. Born in Greenfield on Sept. 7, 1927, daughter of Howard P. and Helen Kenney Burleigh, she attended schools there. She moved to Berkshire County with her family in 1952. She was employed by the former Florini's Restaurant in North Adams, the former Sprague Electric Co., and the McDonald and Burger King restaurants in North Adams. She was also employed as a clinical assistant at North Adams Regional Hospital, the Green Thumb project at Northern Berkshire Mental Health and was last employed at the Division of Employment and Training in North Adams. Mrs. Lincoln was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a member of TOPS. Her husband, Robert M. Lincoln, whom she married June 14, 1946, in Greenfield, died March 24, 1975. She leaves a daughter, Robin J. Bachand of Readsboro, Vt.; two sons, Todd Lincoln and Jeffrey Lincoln, both of Clarksburg; a sister, Rhona "Peggy" Milich of Corona, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, William R. Lincoln who died May 7, 1999, and Terry Lincoln, who died at birth, and a daughter, Nancy Hohn, who died Nov. 30, 1971. Services will take place Friday at 8:15 at from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the Eileen Barrett Foundation at the North Adams Regional Hospital through the funeral home.
