Helen K. Eberle

Helen Katherine Eberle, 98, formerly of Phelps Avenue, died Friday at Cameron Glen Assisted Living in Reston, Va., where she had resided for six years. Born July 9, 1902, in New Concord, N.Y., daughter of Fay and Katherine Daley Maxon, she attended Notre Dame Academy in Albany, N.Y. A homemaker, Mrs. Eberle was a member of the North Adams Council on Aging and the Williamstown Grange, a charter member of the Spitzer Center in Williamstown, and she served as past president of the Friendship Club of Wiliamstown. Her husband, Raymond L. Eberle, whom she married in 1928, died Dec. 20, 1986. She leaves two daughters, Katherine E. Marlowe of Pittsfield and Anne E. Potter of Vienna, Va.; a son, Richard R. Eberle of Norfolk, Va.; eight grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2001, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church in Pittsfield. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory may be made to Hospice Care of the Berkshires in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, which is handling arrangements. An updated funeral notice will appear at a later date.
