Edrie G. Russell

Edrie G. Russell, 97, formerly of 179 Curtis Ave., died Sunday at Craneville Place, where she had resided since August 2000. Born in Dalton on Jan. 19, 1905, daughter of Calvin and Rose Goodermote Russell, she was a graduate of the former Dalton High School and the former Bishop Memorial School of Nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse for many years, retiring as charge nurse at Berkshire Place many years ago. Miss Russell was a member of First Congregational Church of Dalton. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 at BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Dalton, with the Rev. Dr. Richard L. Floyd, pastor of First Church of Christ, Congregational, in Pittsfield, officiating. Burial will follow in Main Street Cemetery, Dalton. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to First Congregational Church of Dalton in care of the funeral home at 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
