Blanche H.Skrok Rathbun

Blanche H.Skrok Rathbun, 83, of 147 Cottage St., Great Barrington, died Thursday at Fairview Hospital. She was born in Housatonic, daughter of the late Valentine and Anna Mzska Skrok on February 17, 1917. She was educated in the local schools, was a communicant and member of the Rosary Sodality of All Saints Church, member of A.A.R.P. and was past president of the Women's Auxiliary of the Adam-Budz V. F. W. Post 183. She had previously worked at the former Monument Mills, was a hostess for 25 years at Jug End, and retired as a machine operator for Wash & Dri in Canaan, CT in 1977. She was the widow of Emerson Rathbun who died in 1940. She is survived by 1 son, Francis of Great Barrington, 3 daughters Jennie Missaggia of Great Barrington, Elizabeth 'Betty' Harvey of West Stockbridge, Louise Candee of South Windsor, CT, 22 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great-greatqrandaughter Elana Stalker. She was also predeceased by another daughter Julia Bunz who died in 1975. Funeral services for Blanche H. Skrok Rathbun who died February 1, 200l, will be Saturday at 9 AM from the HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA to be followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in All Saints Church with Rev. Anthony Jutt, pastor officiating at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Bridget’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Blanche's memory may be made to the All Saints Building Fund C/O HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 SOUTH ST-GREAT BARRINCTON, MA.Ol238
