Robert Anthony Mossolani

Robert Anthony Mossolani, 50, of 49 Twitchell Hill Road, Shaftsbury, Vermont, died Saturday February 10, 2001, at Willowood Health Care Center, 25 Adams Road, Williamstown, MA, where he was admitted on January 15th. Death followed 7 months of failing health. He was born in North Adams, MA on January 3, 1951, son of Mrs. Mary Ann (Maynard) Mossolani and the late Harold Anthony Mossolani. He was educated in North Adams schools, including the former St. Joseph Parochial School in North Adams. He graduated from the C. H. McCann Technical High School in North Adams with the Class of 1970 completing the metal fabrication courses. He began his working career with the North Adams Regional Hospital and later with the former Aiken Chemical Company in Williamstown, MA. Later, he was employed with the Pownal Tannery in Pownal, VT, the Parker Machine Company in North Adams , MA, The Wagon Wheel in Arlington, VT, and the Williams Inn in Williamstown. MA. Before his illness, he was last employed as a welder with the Eastern Castings Corporation in Cambridge, New York. He maintained a life long interest in hiking, fishing and photography. He was a member of the Harvest Ministry Christian Church of Bennington, Vermont. Survivors include his wife the former Susan Lynn LaBombard whom he married on August 20, 2000 at the Harvest Ministry Christian Church in Bennington, VT. His mother, Mary Ann (Maynard) Mossolani of Williamstown, MA and one sister, Linda Mossolani Walker of North Adams, MA and seven stepchildren Jason R. Benoit, Shannon Lynn Benoit and Leo A . Benoit, I V , all of North Adams, Jason Gwozdz of Arlington, VT, Heidi Percey of Petersburg, New York, Wendy Gwozdz and Amy Canastraci of Hoosick Falls, New York and 6 stepgrandchildren and two nephews, David Walker and Todd Walker of North Adams, MA and aunts, uncles and cousins. A niece Kristin Marie Walker died on August 10, 1986. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, February 13, 2001 at ll:OO AM at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals--WEST CHAPELS 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA, Pastor Robert Lebert of Harvest Ministry Christian Church of Bennington, VT will officiate. Burial wil1 follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams, MA. Calling hours at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals---WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA are Monday February 12, 2001 from 5 pm to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are suggested for the American Cancer Society through the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, 521 West ain St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arranqements.
