Charles Reiner

Charles Reiner, 55, of Larchmont, N.Y., a summer resident of West Otis for more than 15 years, died Wednesday in New York City at Mount Sinai Hospital. Born in New York City on Oct. 13, 1946, son of Norma Peyser Reiner and the late Jules Reiner, he was raised in Great Neck, N.Y. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Florida. Mr. Reiner was founder and a principal in Vector Strategic Resources Inc., a major national management consulting firm based in Rye, N.Y. He wrote on the theory and application of leadership in organizational settings and co-wrote a chapter in the "Training and Development Handbook" of the American Society for Training and Development. He also designed and facilitated management forums for companies. Prior to that, he was in private practice for several years. A film enthusiast, he started Preferred Films Ltd., which produced several independent features. He leaves two daughters, Alysia Reiner and Katharine Reiner; a sister, Elizabeth Bookbinder, and a brother, Barry Reiner.
