Helen Thompson

Helen Thompson, 97, of 4866 Chevy Chase Blvd., Chevy Chase, Md. died Saturday at home. Born in Springfield on June 30, 1904, daughter of George and Nellie Owens Donovan, she attended schools there. She had lived most of her life in the Washington, D.C., area. Her husband, Lyle M. "Bus" Thompson, a native of Adams, died in 1984. She leaves several nieces and nephews. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Chevy Chase. Graveside committal services will be held Saturday, June 1, at 12:30 in the Maple Street Cemetery, Adams. The Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas, will officiate. There are no calling hours. The AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, is in charge of local arrangements.
