Nancy A. Sprague, 74
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. â€' Nancy Anne Sprague, 74, of 145 Pleasant St. died Friday afternoon, Aug. 30, 2002, at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she was admitted Aug. 14.
Born in Bennington, Vt., on Feb. 28, 1928, daughter of Lawrence N. and Helen G. McGurn Galipeau, she was a 1946 graduate of the former Bennington High School.
Mrs. Sprague was employed by the Williams College food service department for 13 years, retiring in 1994. She first worked for the former New England Telephone Co. and then as a waitress at the Taconic Park Restaurant in Williamstown.
Mrs. Sprague was a communicant of St. Francis' Church.
She leaves her husband, Edward G. Sprague whom she married April 21, 1950, in Bennington; a daughter, Donna J. Westcott of North Adams; two sons, Shaun E. Sprague and Gerald M. Sprague, both of North Adams; a sister, Jeanne Haley of Bennington, and six grandchildren, Aaron Sprague of Pope Air Force Base, N.C., and Joshua, Nathan, Jared and Taylor Sprague and Jayda Westcott, all of North Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE â€' Services for Mrs. Sprague will be private. There will be no calling hours.
