Edward F. Banas

Edward F. Banas, 86, of 69 North Summer St. died yesterday at home. Born in Adams on Oct. 13, 1914, son of John and Apolonia Mularz Banas, he attended local schools. He was employed in the maintenance department of the former Rochester James River Paper Co., now Crown Vantage Corp., in Adams for more than 30 years, retiring in 1981. A communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, he was a member of the St. Stanislaus Kostka Society. He leaves his wife, the former Felicia Alice Jamros, and a brother Frederick Banas of Adams. The funeral will be Friday at 9:15 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Stanislaus Church, celebrated by the Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Church through the funeral home. Mr. Banas was predeceased by a sister, Veronica Micek, who died March 20, 1992.
