Evelyn Morris

Evelyn Morris, 92, formerly of 302 Walnut St., died yesterday at Willowood Health Care Center in North Adams. Born in North Adams on Oct. 1, 1908, daughter of Andrew and Anna Lopardo DiSanti, she was a graduate of Drury High School. She was the owner and operator of a bed and breakfast in the state of Florida with her late husband, Thomas C. Morris, who died in 1948. She was then a housekeeper for a family in the Midwest. She later returned to the Berkshires and was employed at the former H.W. Clark Biscuit Co. in North Adams. She then owned and operated the former Evelyn's Snack Bar on the town line of Adams and Cheshire for 20 years, retiring in the late 1970s. Mrs. Morris was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. She leaves a sister, Irene Sahady of North Adams. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Burial will take place in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St., are Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. Memorial donations are suggested for the St. Anthony's Church Building Fund through the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals. She was predeceased by three brothers, Anthony DiSanti, Silvio DiSanti and James DiSanti; and four sisters, Clara Dalto, Marion Silsby, Rita DiSanti and Elizabeth Dilego.
