Robert Oliver Bliss Jr

Robert Oliver Bliss Jr., 43, 7 Church St., Apt. D, Tilton, N.H., died Monday at his home. Born in North Adams on Nov. 7, 1959, a son of Robert O. Bliss Sr. and Brigitte G. Dannigheit Bliss, he was educated in Clarksburg and North Adams schools and attended Drury High School and McCann Technical High School. He served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by the former Hunter Outdoor Products in North Adams, and later worked at the Potvin Lumber Co. in Stamford, Vt. He then moved to Arizona, where he was employed in the trucking business for a short time. He moved to Tilton six years ago. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed mechanical work and tinkering with trucks. He also enjoyed drawing pictures. He leaves his parents, Robert and Brigitte Bliss of Clarksburg; two brothers, Thomas R. Bliss of Key West, Fla., and Kenneth R. Bliss of Williamstown; and two sisters, Nancy Anderson of Toms River, N.J., and Katharine A. Bliss of North Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Robert Oliver Bliss Jr. will take place Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003 at 11 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, with the Rev. William Wilson, pastor of the Stamford Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Clarksburg Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital or to the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home. Survivors include a niece, Megan Bliss Ford of Toms River, N.J., and several aunts, one uncle, and cousins.
