Cynthia Berna Gambell

Cynthia Berna Gambell, 56, of Carpenter Hill Road, Bennington, Vt., a native and former resident, died Wednesday at home after being stricken with a cardiac arrest. Born on Dec. 4, 1946, daughter of Leo Z. and Doris Barschdorf DeLugan, she was educated in local schools. She was employed as a waitress by various restaurants in the area. She relocated to Bennington some years ago. She enjoyed pets and especially horses, and became a caregiver and trainer of them. She leaves a brother, Michael A. DeLugan of Tolland, Conn.; and three sisters, Robin DeLugan of Albany, Calif., Linda DeLugan Houlihan of Hyde Park, N.Y., and Nancy DeLugan Stricker of Seattle, Wash. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Scriptural service in the Roman Catholic tradition will be offered for Cynthia Gambell on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 2 in the MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, 4 Liberty St., Adams. The family will receive friends from 1 until the time of the service in the funeral home.
