Alice Lena Russo, 90, of 159 Elizabeth St. died Saturday at Springside of Pittsfield, where she had resided for six years. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 29, 1912, daughter of Frank and Emily Detrich Winnard, she was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School. Mrs. Russo was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Teresa's Church and a member of the Senior Center. Her husband, Frank F. Russo, whom she married Feb. 3, 1934, died June 9, 1972. She leaves two daughters, Caroline R. Cullett of Dalton and Sandra Drumm of Pittsfield; a son, Joseph P. Russo of Satellite Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Alice Lena Russo, who died Saturday, Feb. 1, will be tomorrow, Feb. 4, at 10:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Teresa's Church celebrated by the Rev. John Varley, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association, both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
