Bertha Anlauf

Bertha Anlauf, 79, of 6 Murray St. died Tuesday afternoon at home. Born in Adams on Aug. 31, 1923, daughter of John and Ludwika Pasterczyk Pniak, she attended local schools. Mrs. Anlauf was employed as a seamstress by the former Waverly Fabrics mill for many years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Her husband, Charles Anlauf, whom she married Sept. 1, 1945, died Dec. 31, 1987. She leaves a son, Gerald Anlauf of Pittsfield; a sister, Merritt Celia Bugbee of the state of Florida, and her caregivers, Shirley Cyrulik and Michael McGuire, both of Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Bertha Anlauf will be private. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME in Adams is in charge of arrangements. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Stanley Pniak.
