Stefania "Stacia" Kuza

Stefania "Stacia" Kuza, 82, of 17 East Hoosac St. died yesterday morning at North Adams Commons, where she had been admitted Feb. 11. Born in Adams on March 5, 1920, daughter of Felix and Agatha Kordona Tworog, she attended St. Stanislaus' School. Mrs. Kuza was employed in the assembly department of the former Barber Leather Co. in North Adams, retiring in 1982. She was employed at an early age by the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Corp., where she worked in Mill 1 as a dorfer tender. After the company ceased operations in 1957, she was employed by the former Greylock Lingerie Co. in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church. Her husband, Casimer J. "Scoopy" Kuza, whom she married June 29, 1940, died Oct. 18, 1999. She leaves two sons, C. Richard Kuza and F. Michael Kuza, both of Adams; two grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church by the Rev. Walter Gargyl of the Marian Fathers Order. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 at McBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Liberty St., Adams. The family suggests memorial donations to the St. Stanislaus Kostka Church Fund through the funeral home. Mrs. Kuza also leaves two grandchildren, Allen and Dina Kuza, and a great-granddaughter, Chelsey Kuza. She was predeceased by three sisters, Mary Laliberti, Helen Zoltek and Sister Mary Barbara Tworog of the Felician Sisters.
