Sally A. McKeon

Sally A. McKeon, 61, of 31 Veazie St. died Monday at home. Born in North Adams on Jan. 26, 1942, daughter of Robert F. and Janet Wright Grogan, she attended local schools, including Drury High School. She graduated from the former licensed practical nursing program at Charles H. McCann Technical School in 1974. Mrs. McKeon was employed as a nurse at several nursing homes in Berkshire County. She retired in 2002 She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles North Adams Aerie 310. Her husband, Francis Joseph McKeon, whom she married Dec. 12, 1959, died Dec. 17, 1986. She leaves three daughters, Kathleen McLain and Colleen "Kelli" Banks, both of North Adams, and Theresa Gerry of Adams; two sons, Robert A. McKeon and Michael F. McKeon, both of Pittsfield; a brother, Raymond Sanders of Lockhart, Texas; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Sally A. Sanders McKeon will be Friday at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the Adult Day Health Center in North Adams through the funeral home. Survivors include 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Sandra Peltier. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker.
