Blanche Paciorek

Blanche A. Paciorek, 92, of 26 Meadow St. died Sunday at home. Born in Housatonic on Sept. 27, 1908, daughter of Alexander and Mary Kuzia Trzcinka, she attended Housatonic schools. She moved to Adams in 1935. Mrs. Paciorek was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for 20 years, retiring in 1971. Before that, she was a domestic at St. Stanislaus' Rectory and for Dr. Terhune of New Canaan, Conn., for several years. She also worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality, and a member of the Polish Women's Alliance, St. Michael's Society and the Polish National Alliance. Her husband, Walter J. Paciorek, whom she married Oct. 12, 1935, died Oct. 15, 1995. She leaves a son, Joseph W. Paciorek of Sudbury; two daughters, Mary F. Piwko of Milford and Jane P. Bernard of North Adams; three sisters, Alice Siok and Sophie Banach, both of Housatonic, and Wanda Trzesniewski of Middletown, Calif.; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be tomorrow at 10 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are today from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Felician Sisters of Enfield, Conn., or to St. Stanislaus' Church through the funeral home. She was predeceased by three brothers, Bronislaw, William and John Trzcinka, and two sisters, Stacia Trzcinka and Helen Majewski.
