Emma Louise Neil, 76, of 32 Aqua St. died Saturday evening at North Adams Regional Hospital. She had been a resident of Willowood of Williamstown for a month. Born in Hoag Corner, N.Y., on Sept. 21, 1924, daughter of Robert and Kathryn Stocklin Proctor, she attended Pittsfield schools. She was employed as a waitress for many years by restaurants in Berkshire County. Mrs. Neil was a communicant of Notre Dame Church. She and her husband, Clifford A. Neil, were married Oct. 6, 1949. Besides her husband, she leaves four sons, William Messer of Star, Fla., Clifford R. Neil and Robert C. Neil, both of Pittsfield, and David A. Neil of Lanesboro; two daughters, Kathryn M. Neil and Terese E. Balsamo, both of Pittsfield; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. The funeral will be Thursday at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Notre Dame Church celebrated by the Rev. Earl Hebert, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7.
