Nancy S. Robie

Nancy Stewart Robie, 49, of Riverbrook Residence, 4 Ice Glen Road, died Sunday evening at Laurel Lake Center for Health and Rehabilitation after a brief illness. Born in Boston on July 19, 1951, daughter of Constance Robie and the late Richard Robie, she attended schools in Hingham until the age of 17. She also attended Royar Greaves School for the Blind and Kiefer Training School in Pennsylvania. She moved to Stockbridge in 1975 and became a resident of Riverbrook. A musician, Miss Robie played the piano and sang. She entertained at the bandstand in Great Barrington and at Berkshire Theatre Festival with Community Access to the Arts. She was a member of First Congregational Church and volunteered at Kimball Farms. Besides her mother, of Waldoboro Maine, she leaves two sisters, Pamela LaValley of Hampden, Conn., and Susan Roscoe of Yarmouth, Maine. A memorial service will be at Riverbrook Residence today, March 13, at 2. Donations in her memory may be made to Riverbrook Residence, P.O. Box 478, Stockbridge, MA 01262.
