Cecile Carberry

Cecile M. Carberry, 83, of Delmar, N.Y., formerly of Great Barrington and Wynantskill, N.Y., died Wednesday at St. Peter's Community Hospice Inn in Albany, N.Y. Born in Cohoes, N.Y., on Aug. 7, 1917, she was the daughter of Albert and Lena Blaine Perreault. She and her husband, Howard F. Carberry, owned and operated Bunnell Auto Parts in the Berkshires from 1973 until 1988, prior to moving to Delmar. She was the past president and secretary of the Rosary Altar Society of St. Jude's Church in Wynantskill. She enjoyed dancing to Big Band music, swimming and dining with friends. Besides her husband of 60 years, she leaves two sons, Kevin F. Carberry of Great Barrington and Jay M. Carberry of Lenox; five daughters, Karen McNamara and Janet Carberry, both of Delmar, Margaret Beeson of the Philippines, Lynn Masterman of Newton and Anne Hudzik of Bedford; a sister, Jeannette Carey of Clifton Park, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at APPLEBEE FUNERAL HOME, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, Delmar. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Donations in Cecile's memory may be sent to the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle Building Fund, 35 Adams Place, Delmar, NY 12054.
