Roger Allen Rynkowski

Roger Allen Rynkowski, 36, of 64 North Summer St., died Wednesday at his home following a brief illness. Born in North Adams July 8, 1966, son of Marjorie Emma Barrington Rynkowski and the late Frank Daniel Rynkowski, he attended schools in North Adams, Cheshire and Yumatilla, Fla. He was a self-employed handyman in the Northern Berkshire area and a cross-country truck driver working for Arrow International. Prior to that he was employed with Gem Environmental Corp. of North Adams in removing hazardous materials at the Yankee Atomic Plant in Rowe. He leaves one son, Nathan Joseph Rynkowski of Virginia; his mother of North Adams; two sisters, Gwendolyn Rich of North Adams and Theresa Smith of Pownal, Vt.; and three brothers, Lawrence R. Bassett of North Adams, Paul I. Smith of Florida, and John R. Smith of Housatonic. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services will take place Tuesday, May 20, at 1:30 at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247. Burial will follow in the family plot at Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, May 20, from 12:30 until the time of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, any donations in his memory are suggested for his son’s education fund through the funeral home, which is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, including David Rynkowski of Adams.
