Lucy Alice Armstrong Langlois

Lucy Alice Armstrong Langlois, 82, formerly of 353 West Road, died Wednesday at the Golden Age Home in Lockhart, Texas, where she had resided for four years. Born in Clarksburg on Feb. 29, 1921, daughter of Frank and Josephine LaFountain Brassard, she attended the former Notre Dame School in North Adams. She was a lifelong resident of Clarksburg until moving to Lockhart in 1997. She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and a former member of its choir, and of Notre Dame Church, both in North Adams. Her first husband, Raymond E. Armstrong Sr., whom she married Feb. 21, 1939, died Oct. 5, 1967. Her husband, William J. Langlois, whom she married April 11, 1970, died July 28, 1991. She leaves a daughter, Valerie Sanders of Lockhart; a stepson, Thomas A. Langlois of Van Wert, Ohio; nine grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. A son, Raymond E. Armstrong Jr., died April 15, 1999, and a daughter, Alana Armstrong, died Oct. 1, 1970. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Lucy A. Langlois will be Wednesday, July 2, at 8:15 from AUGÉ-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, North Adams. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 at Our Lady of Mercy Shrine, North Adams. The Rev. Daniel J. O’Hear, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., 01247. Two brothers, Henry Brassard and Francis Brassard, and a sister, Laura Pierce, also predeceased her. Survivors include two nephews.
