Genevieve W. Dinger

Genevieve W. Dinger, 94, of 28 Kirk St. died yesterday at Fairview Commons Nursing Center. Born on Aug. 9, 1908, in Utica, N.Y., daughter of Henry and Martha Kriewitz Wenner, she graduated from the Utica Free Academy and St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a surgical nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica, and from 1970 to 1990 as a surgical nurse in Bradenton, Fla. She moved to Housatonic in 1996. Her husband, Rudolf Dinger, whom she married in 1937 in New York state, died in 1966. She leaves one daughter, Sigrid Mitchell of Housatonic, and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A private burial for Genevieve W. Dinger, who died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, will be in Albany Rural Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Survivors include Mrs. Dinger’s three grandchildren, Erica Jensen, Alexandra Ludwig and Nicholas Mitchell. BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, is in charge of arrangements.
