Elizabeth A. Hennebury

Elizabeth A. Hennebury, 90, of 379 East St. died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Boston on Dec. 8, 1912, daughter of Edward and Agnes Dehey Lawton, she came to Pittsfield as a child and was a 1930 graduate of St. Joseph’s High School. She moved to Abbington and was a self-employed beautician for 25 years, retiring in 1985, when she returned to Pittsfield. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. Her husband, Frederick Hennebury, died in 1964. She leaves two sons, H. Michael McGurn of Pittsfield and David J. McGurn of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Bryant of Hanson; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Elizabeth A. Hennebury died in Pittsfield on Wednesday, Aug. 6. Private funeral services will be Saturday at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation in care of the funeral home.
