Genevieve L. Dingman

Genevieve L. Dingman, 80, of 342 Bradley St. died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Bloomfield, Conn., on April 24, 1923, daughter of Leon and Pearl Camyre Perry, she moved to Otis as a child and attended schools there. She was a graduate of Lee High School. She moved to Lee in 1939. Mrs. Dingman had been employed by the former Howard Johnson’s restaurants on the Massachusetts Turnpike and in Pittsfield. She also had been a sales representative for Avon. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and quilting. She also was a volunteer for missions locally and worldwide. Her first husband, Victor F. Adamoli, whom she married in 1939, died Feb. 25, 1956. She and her husband, Bernard J. Dingman, were married June 25, 1958. Besides her husband, she leaves four sons, Ronald M. Adamoli and Gary P. Adamoli, both of Phoenix, Barry S. Dingman of Tucson, Ariz., and John Dingman of Westerlo, N.Y.; four daughters, Roxine L. Carty of Lee, Terry G. Ernest of Los Osos, Calif., Carolyn J. Fisher of Avon Park, Fla., and Bonnie J. Knight of Springfield, Vt.; two sisters, Pearle Sharp of Virginia Beach, Va., and Dale Perry Gravelle of Attleboro; 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Genevieve L. Dingman will be conducted Tuesday at 11 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee by the Rev. Timothy L. Mason, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Housatonic. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Lee. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to Camp Northfield or to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
