Alice O'Dell, 79
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Alice O'Dell, 79, of Grants Pass, Ore., died Monday, March 19, 2001, at home. She was the mother of Elizabeth McCreesh of Lenox.
Born in Scotia, N.Y., on May 23 1921, daughter of Niels and Ingrid Pederson Nielsen, she graduated from the former Bennington (Vt.) High School.
Mrs. O'Dell was employed by the U.S. Postal Service and, in later years, by the Certified Nurses Association.
Her husband, William O'Dell, is deceased.
Besides her daughter, she leaves three other daughters, Inga Giacini of Atlanta, Ga., Patricia McCreesh of Florence, Ore., and Kathy Flynn of Myrtle Creek, Ore.; a brother, Victor Nielsen of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; a sister, Inga Choquette of North Adams, and seven grandchildren, Scott, Travis, Gabriel, Brian, and Kimberly; Erica and Kristina, both of Lenox.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service for Mrs. O'Dell will be held Friday, March 23, at 1 p.m. at St. John's Church, 36 Park St., Williamstown. She will be laid to rest at the Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown following the service.
