Rose Y. Healey

Rose Y. Healey, 88, of 125 Phelps Ave. died Sunday at home. Born in Adams on May 17, 1915, daughter of Octave and Mary Louise Demers Ouellette, she moved with her family to Holyoke as a young child and then to North Adams. Mrs. Healey was a homemaker. She was employed by the former Popp's and the former Joanne's bakeries, both on Main Street, until her marriage to Cornelius T. "Neil" Healey on June 24, 1950, in Notre Dame Church. He died April 28, 1999. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church. She leaves a sister, Aurore Lussier of Chicopee. Her son, Dennis Healey, died Oct. 10, 1967. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Rose Y. Ouellette Healey will be Wednesday at 10 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mercy Church at 10:30. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 9 to 10. Memorial donations are suggested for the Shriner's Children's Hospital or for Masses in her memory through the funeral home. Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Mary Rita Healey and Stacia Ouellette; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins, and her longtime friends, Raymond and Lorraine Seymour.
