Arthur Christian Lehman Sr., 75, of 8 Blackstone Road died yesterday morning at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Germany on Sept. 25, 1927, son of Christian A. and Margaret Ahrem Lehman, his family emigrated to the United States when he was a child and settled in New York City, where he attended PS 104 in the Bronx. He also attended St. Mary's Academy in Champlain, N.Y., and graduated from Danbury (Conn.) High School. A Teamster, he worked out of Local 404 in Springfield for many years. He also maintained booths in area flea markets. His former second wife, Anita Lorraine Waterman Lehman, died Feb. 15, 1998. He leaves his wife, the former Anna June Grover, whom he married Feb. 19, 1974; five sons, Arthur C. Lehman Jr. of North Adams, Gary A. Lehman and Keith A. Lehman, both of Orange, Wayne A. Lehman of Fitchburg and Warren L. Lehman of Fort Pierce, Fla.; four daughters, Darlene Adams of Indio, Calif., Gloria Fortini of Fort Pierce, Fla., Diane Pratt of Palm Springs, Calif., and Kris Lehman of Reno, Nev.; a brother, Ernest Lehman of Fairfield, Conn.; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his first wife, Shirlene Nutting Lehman of North Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Arthur Christian Lehman Sr. will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Church Cemetery in Florida, Mass. Donations may be made to the American Lung Association in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements.
