Marion B. Dean

Marion B. Dean, 90, formerly of Vine Street, died at Hillcrest Commons on Friday, Oct. 10, where she had resided for three years. Born in Hancock on March 22, 1913, daughter of George and Lillie May Love Love, she attended Williamstown schools. She had lived in Pittsfield for many years and then went to live with her daughter in Stockbridge for 30 years before entering Hillcrest Commons. Her most recent employment was at McKenzie Plastics from 1965 to 1970; before then, she worked for the former Elmvale Worsted wool mill from the 1940s until it closed. She was a member of Pilgrim Memorial Church in Pittsfield and enjoyed crocheting and needlework. Her husband, Albert B. Dean, whom she married on Oct. 28, 1933, died Aug. 17, 1971. She leaves a son, Roger W. Dean of Hancock; a daughter, Betty J. Decker of Stockbridge, with whom she resided; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A son, Albert G. "Laddie" Dean, died on March 6, 1990. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mrs. Marion B. Dean will be on Tuesday at noon at the Pilgrim Memorial Church in Pittsfield, with the Rev. Cory Loder, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the South Lawn Cemetery in Williamstown. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are suggested to either HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to the Pilgrim Memorial church in care of the WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
