Earl J. Cornellier

Earl J. Cornellier, 84, of 180 Sturgis Ave. died Friday at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center in Lenox. Born in Pittsfield on April 1, 1919, son of Daniel and Eva Beebe Cornellier, he was educated in Pittsfield schools. Prior to World War II he worked on the Civilian Conservation Corps camp on Mount Greylock. During the war, he served with the Army Air Corps. Mr. Cornellier was employed by Berkshire Truck Plaza in West Stockbridge, retiring in 1980. Before that, he owned and operated a dairy farm on Sturgis Avenue. When he returned from the service, he worked at the former Nesbit's Garage and at Monument Mills in Housatonic. He and his wife, the former Cathrine E. Garry, were married Feb. 11, 1946. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Thomas D. Cornellier of Lee; a daughter, Marlene M. Cuene of Lee; a brother, John Cornellier of Battle Creek, Mich., and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- There will be no service for Earl J. Cornellier. Visiting hours will be Monday from 3 to 5 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee. Friends wishing may make donations to HospiceCare in the Berkshire in care of the funeral home. Mr. Cornellier leaves his loving grandchildren, Heather, Thomas and David.
