Italia J. Henri

Italia J. Henri, 90, of Tolland Road died yesterday morning at home. She owned and operated New Boston Nursing Home in Sandisfield and Great Barrington Nursing Home until retiring in 1976. After that, she owned and operated High Rock Farm, an equestrian center in West Suffield, Conn. Born in West Granville on March 19, 1913, daughter of Domenico and Caterina Consolati Campetti, she attended New Boston schools and graduated from Gilbert High School in Winsted, Conn., and from Bay Path College. Mrs. Henri also was director of Southeastern Berkshire Welfare for 20 years. Prior to that, she was a purchasing agent for Veeder Root Co. in Hartford, Conn. She enjoyed horses and her home on Otis Reservoir. Her husband, Charles S. Henri, died in 1961. She leaves a daughter, Katherine L. Williams of East Otis; two brothers, Angelo Campetti and Maurice Campetti, both of Sandisfield; a sister, Theresa Koszalka of Old Greenwich, Conn.; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Italia Campetti Henri, who died Oct. 27, 2003, also is survived by her grandchildren, Terry Cook and Lisa Morrell of Lenox and Kelly Camara of Somerset, and her great-grandchildren, Riley and Taylor Cook and Mikala and Justin L'Hote, all of Lenox. The funeral will be conducted for family and friends tomorrow, Oct. 29, at 11 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Gary Dailey, pastor of St. Mary's Church in Lee. Entombment will follow in the family mausoleum in Sandisfield Center Cemetery.
