Annette Trombley

Annette Trombley, 82, of 75 Commercial St. died Sunday at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield. Born in Philadelphia on Sept. 5, 1921, daughter of Louis and Annette LaChance Roy, she moved to Adams with her parents as a child and attended local schools. Mrs. Trombley was employed for several years by the former Adams Laundry, now Aladco, and for several years by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. Her first job had been with the former Berkshire Hathaway Inc. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas and a member of its Ladies of St. Anne. She also was a member of the Adams Senior Citizens, the Sun Shine Ladies and the Commercial Street Mill House Association. Her husband, Russell Trombley, whom she married Aug. 19, 1944, died Feb. 1, 1980. She leaves her niece and caregiver, Theresa Smachetti of Adams; five grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marie Renzi. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Annette Trombley, who died Oct. 26, 2003, will be celebrated tomorrow, Oct. 29, at 10 at Notre Dame Church, preceded by a prayer service at 9:20 at TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today from 5 to 7. She also was predeceased by her brother, Maurice Roy.
