Blanche Tenczar

Blanche Tenczar, 87, of 46 Friend St. died late Thursday night, Oct. 30, at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams on March 13, 1916, daughter of John and Mary Zeman Szukala, she attended Adams schools. Mrs. Tenczar last worked in the capacitor department of Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for 15 years, retiring in 1981. Earlier, she had worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co, in Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, and was a member of the Sprague Retiree's Club. Her husband, Frank Tenczar, whom she married Feb. 3, 1936, died Aug. 31, 1964. She leaves two sons, Ronald Tenczar and Richard Tenczar, both of Cheshire; a daughter, Janice Evans of Clarksburg; two sisters, Valerie Milos and Emily Sadlowski, both of Adams, and eight grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral will be held on Monday morning at 9:15 from the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Sunday afternoon from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children through the funeral home. Mrs. Tenczar also leaves eight grandchildren, Christian, Justin, Brenton, Brian, Melissa and Sarah Tenczar, and Julie and William Evans, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Two brothers, Stanley and Edward Szukala, and two sisters, Mrs. Jean Valendzik and Mrs. Helen Zepka, are deceased.
