Germaine J. Golay, 98, of 151 Christian Hill Road, formerly of Main Street, Southfield, died Saturday at Fairview Commons, where she had resided since 1997. Born in New York City on June 23, 1905, daughter of Frederick and Ida Joly Golay, she was educated there. She had been manager of customer service at the Commodore Hotel in Manhattan for many years until retiring in 1963. She moved to Southfield after her retirement. She had been a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of its Ladies' Aid Society. She was also a member of the New Marlboro Fire Department Auxiliary and past president and treasurer of the Thursday Morning Club. She leaves a grandniece, Kathleen Testaverde of Franklin Lakes, N.J. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Germaine J. Golay, who died Nov. 22, 2003, will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 9 at Our Lady of the Valley Church, Sheffield, by the Rev. John S. Lis, pastor. There will be no calling hours. Burial will follow in St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y.
