Harold Korn

Harold Korn, 71, of 20 Nielsen Lane and 160 E. 65th St., New York City, died Tuesday at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City. He was born on June 25, 1929, son of Jack and Nettie Korn. Mr. Korn was a Harold R. Medina professor in procedural jurisprudence at Columbia University School of Law. He was the co-author of a 16-volume New York civic practice treatise with Judge Jack Weinstein, and director of Research for the New York State Advisory Committee on Practice and Procedure from 1956 to 1960. He was responsible for New York's present civil practice law and rules, and was a consultant for the American Law Institute's model penal code and the proposed New York code of evidence. He taught at Buffalo Law School. His wife, Amy Clampett, is deceased.
