Mary Mazilauskas

Mary Mazilauskas, 73, of 114 South Main St. died Thursday at home. Born in New York City on May 3, 1930, daughter of William D. and Louise Razzetti Murphy, she was a 1948 graduate of the former New Marlboro Central School in Mill River and received her bachelor of arts degree from the College of St. Rose in retailing in 1952. She also had a master of arts degree from Hartford College. From 1952 to 1973, Mrs. Mazilauskas lived in West Hartford and was employed by Travelers Insurance Co. as an executive secretary. After her marriage to Edward T. Mazilauskas in 1973, she moved to Jackson Heights, N.Y., where she resided until 1997. While there, she was a bookkeeper for her husband, who was a pharmacist. Mr. Mazilauskas died Sept. 29, 1995. She and her husband spent weekends and vacations in Sheffield, and she moved here permanently in 1997. She leaves several cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mary Mazilauskas, who died Dec. 11, 2003, will be celebrated today, Dec. 13, at Our Lady of the Valley Church by the Rev. Albert Dagnoli. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. There will be no calling hours. She leaves several cousins, including the Podesta family of Sheffield. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Our Lady of the Valley Church in care of BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230, which is in charge of arrangements.
