Joseph F. Chucka

Joseph F. Chucka, 66, of Cochran Street, West Warwick, R.I., died Monday at Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the father of Joyce A. Amuso of Pittsfield. Born in Old Town, Maine, son of Joseph A. and Agnes Schermecker Chucka, he resided in West Springfield before moving to West Warwick 27 years ago. Mr. Chucka was employed by the Narragansett Improvement Co. in Providence for the past 15 years. He previously was employed as vice president for Coronet Thermalgravers of Cranston for 12 years. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Natick and a member and former Third Knight of the Knights of Columbus Mary Doran Council in West Warwick. Besides his daughter, he leaves his wife, the former Ernestine S. Perusse; two sons, Michael J. Chucka of Coventry, R.I., and Timothy S. Morris of West Warwick; two daughters, Brenda A. Hogg of Warwick and Theresa A. Chucka of West Warwick; two brothers, Donald Chucka of Franklin Lakes, N.J., and Robert Chucka of Tacoma, Wash.; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral is Saturday at 7:45 from CARPENTER-JENKS QUAKER LANE CHAPEL, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, Providence Street, West Warwick, at 9. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick.
