Ethel Mae Racicot

Ethel Mae Racicot, 71, of 68 Daniels Ave. died yesterday morning at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 6, 1932, daughter of Loyd and Philominia Roberts Banister, she attended local schools. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Racicot was a lead cook for several years at the former Jewish Community Center. She enjoyed bingo and taking frequent trips to Atlantic City. Her husband, Joseph N. Racicot Jr., who she married May 16, 1951, died March 11, 1992. She leaves a son, Joseph N. Racicot III of Pittsfield; three daughters, Rosemarie Tarczynski, Joanne Brennan and Patti Harrison, all of Pittsfield; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A daughter, Darlyn Roughley-Foether, died in 1999. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Ethel Mae Banister Racicot, 71, who died Dec. 23, 2003, will be Friday at 7 p.m. at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. Ralph Cyr officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Calling hours will be held Friday before the service from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund in care of the funeral home. Survivors include her loving grandchildren, Joseph C. and Marc Racicot, Michael and Allen Hill, Jessica and John Roughley, Kevin Brennan, Ashley Racicot and Amber Harrison, and several nieces and nephews.
